National Register Listings

The National Register of Historic Places is the official list of the Nation’s historic places worthy of preservation. Authorized by the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, the National Park Service’s National Register of Historic Places is part of a national program to coordinate and support public and private efforts to identify, evaluate, and protect America’s historic and archaeological resources. Below is a partial list of National Register sites in the city of North Little Rock.

 

Amboy Overpass (North Little Rock – Pulaski County) Hwy. 365 over Union-Pacific tracks N of Hwy. 176 1941 open masonry substructure bridge Listed in National Register of Historic Places on 5/18/1995.

 

 

 

Argenta Historic District (North Little Rock – Pulaski County) roughly Melrose Cir. & Willow St. S to W. 4th St., & N. Main St. from W. 6th to W. 3rd Sts. 1890-1942 commercial and residential structures reflecting the early days of North Little Rock Listed in National Register of Historic Places on 3/15/1993.

Bailey Allinder House (North Little Rock – Pulaski County) 301 Skyline Dr. 1948-1949 design shows transition from Minimal Traditional to Ranch style Listed in National Register of Historic Places on 12/27/2002.
